To our Educational Partners,As most of you are aware, eCollege became a Pearson company as of August 1, 2007. This is exciting news, and I believe a powerful stride forward for eCollege. I would like to share my thoughts about this change and address any concerns you, our Educational Partners, may have about the merger.I, and the rest of the eCollege team, see this change in our business structure as an opportunity to expand our reach in the educational marketplace. Now, eCollege and Pearson can offer our customers enhanced teaching and learning experiences that are more effective than either organization could provide independently. |
As a Pearson company, eCollege will remain in Denver while working collaboratively across Pearson. The operations and service level you rely on from eCollege will continue without disruption. We will not change our current products, services or client-supporting staff. It is also important to note that eCollege will continue to provide access and support for content from any publisher that you want or need.
Pearson is an international media company with market-leading businesses in education, business information and consumer publishing. Pearson’s Education division is a global leader in educational publishing, testing and assessment, enterprise software and professional learning.
From my perspective, Pearson offers an excellent strategic fit for eCollege across higher education, K-12 and professional education. A mission that is greatly complimented by eCollege’s aim to support the successful growth of online learning through a comprehensive, on-demand solution of industry-leading technologies and services.
Both eCollege and Pearson are excited about realizing the powerful potential behind our combined resources. More importantly, we hope to further enrich the lives of learners across the globe.
