This role is for a senior analyst, with a concentration towards creating holistic dashboards for senior IT management. Summary:
The Software Architect is responsible for balancing the concerns of implementation, requirements, and long term needs in the creation of software systems. This individual leads and supports the architecture and design efforts of multiple project development teams. Core activities of the role include determining non-functional needs, modeling and evaluating candidate architectural solutions and negotiating design trade-offs with stakeholders and engineers.
Requires:
The Software Architect will act as the subject matter expert in software design and will;
• Creates architecture and design artifacts in UML
• Analyzes requirements to help define project scope, system interfaces, subsystems, and integration dependencies
• Facilitates requirements decisions, especially those involving non-functional goals or constraints
• Assumes a stakeholder role to determine architectural priorities
• Leads system design meeting; mentor developers in modeling and the application of patterns & practices
• Writes code for proof-of-concepts, reusable components, application frameworks
• Other duties as assigned
Software Architect is a key role at eCollege and the right individual would have;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Expert command of OO concepts and techniques
• Good understanding of application frameworks architectural patters and concepts

SUMMARY
The Sr. Systems Integration Engineer is directly responsible for troubleshooting, configuring, and implementation of system integrations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Duty or Responsibility
•Perform white box testing ensuring the proper Quality Assurance process is followed.
•Maintain a thorough understanding of environment setup and configuration.
•Troubleshoot, configure and review integration code.
•Analyze system for defects and define solutions to resolve defects.
•Identify application integration and configuration defects.
•Develop and maintain internal tools and task automation.
•Create documentation for system integration setup, configuration and training.
•Conduct research and develop solutions for the technology needs of new integrations.
•Take an active role in system architecture review.
•Compile, generate, and maintain weekly activity report.
•SME on eCollege integration points, requirements and methodologies
•Knowledgeable about industry specifications (IMS, SIF) and eCollege implementation of those specs.
•Provides implementation advice and guidance at the technical and business levels
•Supports EPs, 3rd Parties and Pearson Business Units during integration implementation
•Acts as the main point of contact for development and testing teams
•Helps identify and resolve issues related to the integration and test environment
•Answers questions related to integration points and eCollege features / functionality
•Supports migration of implementation from testing to production environments
•Supports migration of customers between versions of SPIs, etc
•Available for pre-implementation phone calls to support discovery, discuss integration options and review specifics of integration functionality
•Able to work on site with an EP to assist with implementation
•Assists in the development and management of a developer community website
•Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or Electrical Engineering preferred. Five (5) plus years experience working in an IT environment with intermediate level coding experience; or equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•Expert experience or knowledge required in the following technologies
COM+, IIS, MSMQ, Active Directory, VB Script, Windows 2000; 2003, SQL Server 2000; 2005, SQL, ASP, VB, C#, XML, MSDTC, RedHat, LAMP
•General knowledge of emerging Internet-based technologies
•Client server network infrastructure experience
•Strong PC skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
•Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation
•Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently
•Excellent customer service, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
